Pelosi Defends Tlaib’s Right To Call Trump A ‘MotherF*cker,’ Slammed Trump For Calling MS-13 ‘Animals’

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is defending Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s (D-MI) democratic right to call the President of the United States a “mother-f*cker.”

MSNBC’s Joy Reid asked Pelosi to weigh in on the newly-elected Democrat’s profane tirade on Friday, Pelosi insisted we shouldn’t “make a big deal of it” because that’s “the way people talk.”

“I’m not in the censorship business,” Pelosi said, before proceeding to slam President Donald Trump.

“I don’t establish any language standard for my colleagues. But I don’t think its any worse than what the president has said,” the California Democrat continued. “Words weigh a ton and the president has to realize that his words weigh a ton. And some of the words he used have a direct impact on people’s lives. My colleague’s words do not have a direct impact on people’s lives.”

While Pelosi stands by Tlaib using profanities to describe Trump, she denounced the president for referring to the MS13 gang members as “animals.”

Pelosi said Trump’s comments were a new low that made her wonder whether the president believes “we are all God’s children.”

“When the President of the United States says about undocumented immigrants, ‘these are not people, these are animals,’ you have to wonder, does he not believe in the spark of divinity? In the dignity and worth of every person? ‘These are not people, these are animals,’ from the president of the United States,” she lamented during a news conference in May. “Every day you think you’ve seen it all, along comes another manifestation of why their policies are so inhumane.”

“Calling people animals is not a good thing,” she warned, before ending the news conference and walking out.

After being sworn in on a Koran Thursday, freshman Democrat lawmaker Tlaib fired up a crowd of supporters by calling on President Trump’s impeachment.

The freshman Democrat explained to the crowd that she promised her 10-year old son that she’d work to remove Trump from office.

“‘Look, Mama, you won. Bullies don’t win,'” Tlaib said, quoting her son. “And I said, ‘Baby, they don’t, because we’re gonna go in there and impeach the motherf*cker.'”

Trump described Tlaib’s comments as “highly disrespectful” to the U.S.

“I thought her comments were disgraceful,” the President said during a press conference in the White House Rose Garden on Friday afternoon. “This is a person I don’t know, I assume she’s new. I think she dishonored herself and dishonored her family using language like that in front of her son and whoever else was there.”

But the 42-year-old attorney defiantly stood by her comments on Friday.

“I think President Trump has met his match,” she told Detroit NBC-affiliate Local 4. “It’s probably exactly how my grandmother if she was alive, would say it. Obviously, I am a member of Congress and things that I say are elevated on a national level, and I understand that very clearly.”
